2017 DRAFT LOTTERY

The 2017 MWBL Draft Lottery will take place on Sunday Night October 2nd, at 9:00 PM ET.

The following four Franchises will have a shot at the #1 Pick in the 2017 MWBL Draft on Saturday February 18th, 2017.

The Commissioner’s Office will send out a join.me link around 8:45 PM on Sunday night if you would like to watch the event live.

The Commissioner Office will conduct this LIVE using the join.me program.

B) Pre-Season Draft

13) The two worst teams in each League will be placed into a four team lottery for the first four picks in the first round. Rounds two through the end will be seeded according to current rules, so only round one would be impacted. A random method would be used to determine the order. Random Method:

(a) We will utilize the website random.org to generate a random number.

(b) The team with the worse record would have numbers 1-40, the second team would have 41-70, the third team would have 71-90 and the team with the fourth worse record would have numbers 91-100…

(c) A Random number between 1 and 100 would be generated to determine the first, second, third and fourth pick.

(d) Random numbers would be continued to be selected until all four teams have been seed 1st through 4th.

(e) If the first number selected is 32, then team 1 would get the first pick and anytime a number between 1-40 would come up again, we would simply generate a new number to determine who gets the 2nd, 3rd and 4th picks. We will utilize the website random.org to generate a random number.me arrangement will be made.
