Gm.1 BET 8-7 K.Johnson keyed a 5 run 5th with a 2-run homer and then doubled in the winning run in the 10th.
Gm.2 BET 6-4 J.Mayberry has 3 hits, a homer and 4 RBI to carry BET to the win.
Gm.3 VIR 8-1 Lillibridge hits a 2-run shot and a 3-run blast to account for 5 of VIR's 8.
Gm.4 VIR 7-4 T.Cahill K's 13 in a CG win. Vlad 4-5. Schierholtz and O.Hudson go yard.
Gm.5 VIR 9-0 M.Scherzer tosses 3 hit CG and Stanton goes deep twice.
Gm.6 BET 6-4 3 innings of shutout ball from the pen and homers by Brantley, T.Cruz and B.Hernandez give Bandicotts the split.

Southbend @ Elyria - Southbend comes to Elyria and SHOCKS the tired home team taking 4 of 7 including some late inning wins.

Severn @ Coconut Creek - CCC takes the first 3 games. Severn then battles back and takes games 4 and 5. Humber then outduels Halladay to win Game-6 and clinch the series. Game-7 is tied 2-2 in the 9th when Severn hits a homer to take a 3-2 lead. Downs is called on to save it for SEV. Two up, two down. Nelson Cruz then pops a solo homer to take it to extras. Giambi drives in the winning run in the 10th to give CCC the series 5 games to 2.

Hollywood @ Chicago - Hollywood headed into Chi-town and at a possible playoff match up.

Game #1 – The Clayton Kershaw show as Kershaw improved to 6-1 1.84 ERA, going 9 IP for a complete game, allowing just one hit in the 5th to Delmon Young.
Final Score – Hollywood 3 – Chicago 0

Game #2 – Jered Weaver goes 8 solid innings allowing only 2 Earned Runs, & picks up the victory for Hollywood.
Ian Kinsler is the hitting star for the Werewolves, going 3 for 4 with a HR and 3 RBI’s
Final Score – Hollywood 5 – Chicago 2

Game #3 – King Felix put a stop to the Hollywood team and improves to 7-1 2.24 ERA.
Final Score –Chicago 4 – Hollywood 1

Game #4 – Mark Buehrle goes the distance for Hollywood, improving to 6-3 2.93 ERA. Jay Bruce, Carlos Pena & Starlin Castro all chip in with 2 RBI’s each.
Final Score – Hollywood 8 – Chicago 1

Game #5 – C. C. Sabathia coming off an injury goes the distance for the Mobsters, picking up his 4th win on the year (3 defeats) 2.33 ERA.
Andrew McCutchen hits a 3 run HR and adds a Sacrifice Fly for 4 RBI’s on the day.
Final Score –Chicago 7 – Hollywood 0

Game #6 – In a pitcher’s duel (Between Cy Young Candidates) in which both starters go complete games, Josh Beckett outduels Clayton Kershaw.
Beckett improves to 7-3 1.58 ERA, Kershaw falls to 6-2 1.66 ERA. Two Unearned runs in the second inning are all the Mobsters needed.
Final Score –Chicago 2 – Hollywood 0

Series is a split between two very solid clubs.
Three of the games were shut outs, and in the other 3 games, the losing teams scored a TOTAL of 4 Runs.

Yonge Street @ Fremont - Yonge St comes to Fremont and takes 4 of 6. Cory Luebke joins the list of Fremont pitchers with one-hitters, allowing only a fourth inning double to Ramon Santiago in game three.

Tijuana @ Detroit - Tijuana wins series, with a rain out. Strasburg has a no hitter in the 9th but ends with a 2 hitter in game one.

Pittsburgh @ Dallas - Dallas wins one of 7 against the Lumber Company. In the lone victory the Cougars score 5 combined runs in the 7th and 8th innings coming from behind to win. In the 6 losses the Cougars played more like kittens scoring a total of 3 runs and were shutout in 4 of the games. In fact, Dallas has now gone 27straight innings without scoring a run.

The only bad thing for Pittsburgh was seeing Jason Donald go down for 33 days in game three on hit by pitch. Team doctors report a deep bone bruise. Meanwile starting SS for the Cougars, Betancourt goes down with a 1 day injury in game 5 for making a diving play on the infield dirt. As a result this grounds crewman was let go by team officials.

Manhattan @ Iron City - After splitting the first six games, the Yinzers blow a 5-1 lead in Game 7 to allow Manhattan to win the series, 4-3.

Tempe @ Valdosta - After getting pounded in the first 3 games Valdosta came back and at least made Tempe work a little. Tempers win 6 of 7.

Game 1: Tempe 8-1. Matt Cain (8-1) had a no hitter going until the 8th. He also hit a 3 run HR to add to our pain. Randall Delgado made his ML debut and allowed 4 runs in 6 IP.

Game 2: Tempe 4-0. This time the Snappers broke out the big bats and collected 5 singles. Chacin (4-0) got the easy win. Tempe with 3 more HR's in the game after hitting 3 yesterday.

Game 3: Tempe 7-1. Snappers managed just 3 hits as the Tempers smacked another 3 HR's. That made 9 in the first 3 games. Stauffer improved to 6-0.

Game 4: Tempe 5-4. The Snappers jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after 2 innings. The Tempers kept chipping away at Carlos Zambrano (3-4) as Bartolo Colon (4-1) and friends held the Snappers the rest of the way. A moral victory as we only allowed a single HR in the game.

Game 5: Valdosta 7-6. Snappers go on a hitting rampage and score 3 in the 9th to complete the comback. Omar Infante hit a 3 run HR for the win. HR's were even @ 3 today.

Game 6: Tempe 11-7. This time it was the Tempers with a big comeback as they scored 5 in the 8th to complete the come from behind win. 3 more HR's for Tempe

Game 7: 4-1 (13 innings). Troy Tulowitzki hit 2 HR's including the game winner in the 13th.

Motor City @ Roseville - Game 1 - Karstens vs Beachy
Weeks hits a 2 run HR. Posada adds a 2 run HR. Posada adds a solo shot. Thorns win 5-1.

Game 2 - Leake vs Paulino
Baker hits a 3 run shot in the 7th, Paulino throws a complete game shutout and the Thorns win 4-0.

Game 3 - Sanchez vs Masterson
Sanchez goes 9 innings giving up only 1 run, and Motor City wins 2-1.

Game 4 - Morton vs Vargas
Weeks doubles in the winning run in the bottom of the 9th, Thorns win 3-2

Game 5 - Blanton vs Harang
Trout hits a 2 run HR in the 7th to break the game open. Blanton goes the distance. Motor City wins 8-2

Game 6 - Karstens vs Beachy
Strong pitching by Karstens, 2 HR's by Flores, and Motor City takes the game 6-0.

Game 7 - Leake vs Paulino

Paulino gives up 2 unearned runs caused by 3 Roseville errors, but pitches 9 innings for his second win of the series. Roseville wins 5-2 and takes the series 4 games to 3.

Paulino is now 5-0 with a .92 ERA, not bad for a 5 grade!

Long Beach @ Bay State - Long Beach makes the cross country trek into Valley Forge Stadium to face the Minutemen. Again a tale of two series as the Minutemen take the first three then it gets crazy. The Dirt Bags win the next two but it took 32 innings, then they shutout the Minutemen in game 6.A very fun series.

Clovis @ Camarillo - A much improved Clovis team came into Camarillo, but dropped 5 out of 7. Clovis lacked bullpen depth and lack of a solid bench in this one.

Owensboro @ Sacramento - Sacramento takes 4 of 6 from Owensboro, though the Onslaught hand Verlander his 2nd loss of the season. All low-scoring, close games, as Sacramento continues to toy with its lineup.

Jersey @ West Coast - From the Field of Dreams in Union City, CA...

The tired and disabled Nor'Easters come to the West Coast and get more tired and disabled. Still, they take 5 of 6 from the Swing, with the lone bright spot for the home team being a two-hit shutout by reigning Pitcher of the Week, Wandy Rodriguez. After the series (in file 7b), the Swing send down Baker and Carpenter (to allow space for the returning Young) and call up Millwood.
