| Detroit @ Dallas - In Game 1 Saltalamacchia’s 1 out triple in the 6th inning and a two out single by Ichiro turns a 3-3 tie into a 5-3 Detroit advantage as they go on to win 6 to 3. Singles by Maybrin and Ichiro in the 10th give the Crime the victory in Game 2 by a score of 4 to 2. Jason Marquis pitches a complete game 2 hit shutout as Dallas won Game 3 2-0, but Detroit’s Duensing follows that up with a complete game shutout of his own in Game 4. He would allow only 3 hits while striking out 8. Final score: Detroit 4, Dallas 0. Hamilton breaks another 3 all tie this time in Game 5 when he mashes a two run dinger in the 5th. It was his 23rd home run of the year. Detroit wins 6 to 3. In Game 6 the Crime got another complete game shutout this time by Villanueva as they win 3 to 0. Overall Detroit wins the series 5 games to 1. |
