Pittsburgh @ Yonge Street - The Lumber Company came to town and left with a split. It was just about as hum-drum as that sounds.   Andre Ethier (6 days) was dinged in the final game.
 
Southbend @ Chicago - Southbend comes to Chicago and takes on the MOB.

Game #1 - Faustoa Carmona 5-2 3.84 gets the win going 6 innings. Andrew McCutchen has a HR & 3 RBI's. Newly acquired Gabby Sanchez goes 2 for 4 with 4 RBI's.   Jed Lowrie for the Lynx goes 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's.
Final Score: Chicago 11 - Southbend 7

Game #2 - Jose Altuve leads the way with 3 hits & Ty Wigginton had 3 RBI's for the Lynx. John Niese 7-7 4.78 ERA picks up the win.
Final Score: Southbend 8 - Chicago 3

Game #3 - Felix Hernandez 14-5 2.22 ERA picks up the win, Jose Valverde gets his 19th save. Chipper Jones was the hitting star, with a 2 run HR for the win.
Final Score: Chicago 4 - Southbend 1

Game #4 - C.C. Sabathia 12-5 2.43 goes 7 solid innings and Valverde picks up his 20th save on the year. Desmond Jennings knocks in a pair.
Final Score: Chicago 4 - Southbend 2

Game # 5 -In a pitcher dues Chris Sale 7-1 0.42 ERA is the winning pitcher. Jose Valverde gets save #21 on the year.
Denard Span has 2 hits including a HR and 3 RBI's to lead the way for the Mobsters.
Final Score: Chicago 3 - Southbend 2

Game #6 - Fausto Carmona 6-1 3.53 ERA goes the distance to help the Chicago pen rest up for Mexico City next week. Chipper Jones goes 2 for 4 with 3 RBI's.
Neil Walker is the hitting sensation of the day goes 3 for 4 with 2 HR's and 4 RBI's.
Final Score: Chicago 7 - Southbend 2
 
Virginia @ Fremont - Fremont and Virginia split the series 3-3.
 
Dallas @ Hollywood - Hollywood takes on Dallas

Game 1: Hollywood gets on top early 1-0 thanks to a Jay Bruce double. Jered Weaver cruises to his league leading 16th win in the 5-0 win.

Game 2: Edison Volquez takes the mound for his usual slaughter, lol, however pitches pretty well. Kurt Suzuki gives Hollywood a 2-0 lead with a homer. Austin Jackson ties the game with 2-outs in the 5th on a double. Then Ryan Doumit homers to give Dallas a 4-2 lead. Emilio Bonifacio homers to lead off the 5th and the score is now 4-3. Dallas holds on to win 4-3.

Game 3: Dallas gets out to the early lead here when Juan Rivera singles in 2 in the first. Carlos Pena leads off the bottom of the first with a homer to cut the lead in half. Paul Goldschmidt singles with the bases loaded and 1-out to make it 3-2 Hollywood in the first. Hollywood expands the lead to 8-3 and Mark Buehrle gets his 10th victory.

Game 4: Hollywood grabs the early lead with a Bonifacio RBI single in the 5th. Nick Hundley ties it at 1 with an RBI single in the 6th. Hollywood puts up a 3 spot in the 6th thanks in part to a 2-rbi single by Frank Francisco. Hollywood holds on for a 4-1 victory.

Game 5: Ian Kinsler hammers a homerun in the 3rd to give Hollywood a 3-1 lead. Clayton Kershaw picks up #15 and Hollywood wins 8-3.

Game 6: Bruce singles a run home in the 1st for a 1-0 Hollywood lead. Francisco homers in the 6th for a 4-1 Hollywood lead. That's all Weaver needs to pick up win 17. Hollywood wins 6-2.

Hollwyood takes 5 of 6 from Dallas.

Motor City @ Clovis - Clovis takes four of six from the visiting Motor City Muscle. Homer Bailey and Brad Penny tossed shutouts for the Wheat Kings, while Jonathon Sanchez retaliated with a 3 hit shutout for the Muscle. Series highlight was Clovis' 10 run outburst in the 8th inning of the opener to seal the 13-0 victory. It was the first time the Wheat Kings scored in double figures in one inning this year.
 
Valdosta @ Camarillo - Camarillo takes 5 of 6. Their bats started slow, but then heated up. Jose Bautista was walked 10 times over the last 3 games - including 5 walks in the final game of the series (which may be a MWBL record).
 
Jersey @ Sacramento - Sacramento takes 5 of 6 games from Jersey. The series was much closer than the record would show, with all but one game requiring a strong outing from the respective closer to shut things down.
