Southbend @ Hollywood - Hollywood vs Southbend

Game 1: Starlin Castro gives Hollywood a 2-0 lead with an RBI double in the 2nd. Then Alex hammers a 3-run shotin the 3rd to make it 5-0 Hollywood. We come to you live in the 7th inning...Jered Weaver has a no-hitter going after 7. Hollywood is up 10-0 going into the 8th. Rene Rivera leads off the 8th with a strikeout. Weaver is 5-outs away! Bryan Petersen pinch hits and strikesout! 4-outs away and 9K's for Weaver. Coco Crisp steps in and pops out to Kurt Suzuki. Weaver moves 3-outs away from his no-hitter! The crowd is on it's feet as Ty Wigginton steps in....he hits a comebacker...Weaver BARE HANDS IT FOR OUT #1! AUBREY HUFF STEPS TO THE PLATE......HE HAMMERS IT TO CENTER....GORDON AFTER IT....HE CAN'T GET IT...THE NO-HITTER IS NO MORE. With the no hitter gone, Weaver is pulled. Hollywood wins 10-0.

Game 2: Edison Volquez takes the mound and will stay in as long as he needs to to get his MBFs up . Clint Barmes gives Southbend the lead in the 2nd with a homer. Trailing 3-0, Hollywood gets a homer from Pena to get on the board, but after a 6-spot in the 4th, Southbend puts the game away on Volquez.....Hollywood hammered 10-2. Sometimes you just have to take your lumps when you are looking at a future 5th starter......

Game 3: Alex Gordon gets the scoring started early with a solo shot in the 1st. David Price goes a strong 7, striking out 10 in the process. Hollywood wins 3-0.

Game 4: Gordon gets the scoring started early again with an RBI single in the first. Clayton Kershaw goes a strong 7, striking out 8 in the process. Hollywood wins 4-2.

Game 5: Jose Altuve triples home 2 in the 2nd for the early Lynx lead. Don Kelly hammers a 3-run shot in the 2nd to make it 3-2 Werewolves. Carlos Pena hammers one in the 3rd for a 4-2 Hollywood lead. Kinsler hammers another homer to make it 5-2. Morse gets the Lynx back in it with a 2-run shot in the 5th to make it 5-4. Ben Francisco drives in a run to make it 6-4 Hollywood. Coco Crisp and Clint Barmes hit back-to-back doubles to cut it to 6-5. Then with 1-out, Matt Joyce ties it at 6 with a double. Then with 1-out in the 8th, Drew Stubbs hammers a 2-run shot for a Hollywood 8-6 lead.

Game 6: Castro knocks in Renteria to make it 1-0 Hollywood. Kurt Suzuki makes it 2-0 in the 4th with an RBI double. Hollywood goes on to win 3-0 and Weaver goes to 14-2.

Game 7: Hollywood left in Volquez too long in game 2, not realizing that he was a RF of 7 not 9 so Jeremy Guthrie was 'rushed' into action. Tied at 3 in the 5th, Hollywood gets a 2-out 2 run shot from Gordon to take a 5-3 lead. Then Jason Kubel extends the lead to 6-3 with a double. Hollywood hangs on to win 6-4.

Hollywood takes 6 of 7.
 
Pittsburgh @ Coconut Creek - After getting blown out by PIT in game-1, the Crushers blast back with 3 consecutive wins. We then couldn't get a hit with runners on base and struggled in the final 2 games.   This allowed PIT to battle back and earn a 3-3 series split.
 
Severn @ Detroit - Severn beats up Detroit.
 
Yonge Street @ Bethesda -  Yonge Street comes in and takes four of six from Bethesda.   Newly acquired Bandicoots Jack Cust struck out 1000 times in the series while Brad Hawpe went deep a couple of times.
 
Dallas @ Tijuana - Tijuana takes 5 of 6 from visiting Dallas.
 
Virginia @ Elyria - Virginia comes to Elyria and splits a 6 game series.
 
Valdosta @ Manhattan - Manhattan and Valdosta split 3-3

6th inning: Worley’s RBI single gets Hill home. Manhattan 4-1
8th inning: Gorzelanny relieves, but gives up 2 runs. Manhattan 6-1
Valdosta loads the bases in the 9th, but the runners are stranded.

Camarillo @ Iron City - Iron City looks very impressive in their 4 to 2 series victory over Camarillo. Iron City's pitching was dominate in all but the last game and timely hitting from top to bottom in their order was the difference.
 
Jersey @ Bay State - No News from Baystate.
 
Tempe @ Clovis - Tempe squashes Clovis easily, taking 5 of 6. Tempers tossed a pair of shutouts to end the series with an exclamation mark!
 
Motor City  @ Sacramento - Sacramento takes 5 of 6 from Motor City. The highlight of the series, Cliff Lee pitches the first no-hitter of his career ... and the 2nd franchise no-hitter after Jason Schmidt's no-no with the Los Angeles Riots.
 
Long Beach @ Roseville - Long Beach takes the first 4, Roseville rallies to win the last 3.
