Fremont @ Yonge Street - A very tense, fun series that ended with some tired arms.

Gm 1) Roy Halladays ERA skyrocketed to 1.65 as he was knocked around for the first time in a year or two, (6 IP, 9H, 0BB, 5ER).Each team had 8 extra base hits, but the one that mattered was Nick Johnsons walk off 2 run HR in the bottom of the 15th. Rafael Furcal chipped in 3 errors in a winning effort.

Gm 2) What a game! Both Starters pitched reasonably well...YSS tied the game at 3 in the btm of the 8th. The next run was scored by FRE via a steal of home in the top of the 16th. Ryan Freel answered with a solo shot in the bottom half to tie the game at 4. Javier Valentin ends it with a walk off 3 run HR in the bottom of 17th.

Gm 3) Kazmir won the duel with Oswalt pretty handily. He went 8 innings, allowed 5 hits while walking 2, and struck out 8. David Wright led the way with a double, a triple and 2 RBI.

Gm 4) Maddux follows Kazmirs strong effort with 7+ strong innings of his own to give the pen a little breather after the 32 innings from games 1 and 2. Javier Valentin continues his strong series with another HR.

Gm 5) Fremont breaks through. Nick Swisher and Brandon Phillips both homer and drive in 3. That's more than enough behind Buehrle and a strong effort from the FRE pen.

Gm 6) John Smoltz can only do so much. He went 9.2 innings, but that last out in the btm of the 10th was asking too much. Jonny Gomes ended it with a walk off solo shot in the 10th. Luke Hudson was stellar in a spot start for the home team.

YSS takes 5 of 6 in a series that easily could have been split 3-3. No breaks for either team, as Fremont heads home to host the surging Crushers from CCC, while YSS heads to SEV to face the red hot Express.
 
Tijuana @ Virginia -   Tijuana Bottle Rockets come to Virginia to take batting practice. Six games later they leave with 4 wins while averaging 9 runs and 12 hits per game.

Gm.1 TIJ 16-3 Peavy improves to 12-8. Berkman blasts his 44th and 45th home runs. Weeks collects 6 RBI with a 3-4 day including a homer.
Gm.2 TIJ 14-6 Jimmy Rollins goes 3-4 with 2 home runs and 5 RBI and Prince Fielder, hitting only .232, knocks in his 99th and 100th RBI.
Gm.3 TIJ 3-1 Mike Lamb's 2 run blast in the 6th breaks a 1-1 tie.
Gm.4 VIR 8-7 In spite of Rollins' home run and 4 RBI, VIR pulls out the win on Jason Bartlett's RBI single in the 9th.
Gm.5 TIJ 11-1 Adrian Beltre leads the Bottle Rockets with 2 hits, a home run and 5 RBI.
Gm.6 VIR 13-3 Nick Markakis, 3-5, a homer and 5 RBI, James Loney, 3-5, a homer and 3 RBI help VIR to their 2nd win of the series.

Exhausting !!!

For TIJ - Jimmy Rollins was 10-24 (.416) with 7 runs, 10 RBI and 3 home runs. Adrian Beltre 10-25 (.400) with 5 runs, 10 RBI and 2 home runs.
 
Chicago @ Coconut Creek - The Crushers save their best for the end of the games. We hand Billy Wagner back to back losses in games 1 & 2. The Mobsters regroup and beat the hell out of us in game-3. The Crushers return the favor by winning game-4 by 10 runs. After securing at least a split with the top winning team this season, the Crushers went to sleep. Chicago wins the last 2 games by a combined score of 17-0 to split the series.
 
Northridge @ Kentucky - No News out of Kentucky (File corrupt - Replayed)
 
Midland @ New River - New River takes 4 out of 6 games from Midland. Little note in the last game Batista pitched 9 2/3 inn. before giving up his only hit to Blake, it just happened to be a home run.
 
Toad Hollow @ Ann Arbor - The Predators take 4 of 6 from the Bluebirds.
 
Iron City @ Tempe - Tempe takes 4 of 6 from Iron City.

It would have been a split but Aaron Rowand hit a solo shot with 2 out in the bottom of the 9th to send game 3 into extra innings. The score was 10 to 10 in the bottom of the 10th (you don't hear that often) when Mike (only hitting .100) Matheny singled in the winning run for Tempe.

Clemens won games one and six. His line - 0.56 ERA, 2 wins, 1 CG, 16 inn,
19 SO, 5 Hits, 1 ER
 
Topeka @ Los Angeles - In a close series, the Riots outscore Topeka 21-20 in the six game set, and take the series 4-2.
 
Garden City @ Camarillo - Gm1: Camarillo 5 Garden City 4 - New arrival Javy Lopez homers twice in this one.
Gm2: Garden City 3 Camarillo 0 - Verlander goes to 15-8 with 6 shutout innings.
Gm3: Garden City 3 Camarillo 1 - Duke improves to 12-11.
Gm4: Camarillo 7 Garden City 3 - Matt Stairs hits his 4th homer of the year.
