This was a great pitched game as both teams were held to 3 hits apiece, Weiss with the big blow a walk-off HR with 2 outs in the 9th and a 2-1 win for FFS Cone goes 8.1 1ER 12 Ks and Leiter 8.2 2ER 3 Ks 9 Walks Win goes to Manuel 1-0 Loss Leiter 0-1 HR Weiss
The series is tied 1 each heading to a very happy Detroit as they figured to be down 0-2.

| GAME #3 – Ken Hill 14-7 (2.84) vs. Ariel Prieto 9-8 (4.48)
Detroit comes home after a huge split at Flossmoor, Game 3 Prieto started awful giving up 2 runs and loading the bases in the first but luckily that’s all he gave up with a K and DP; in the 6th Detroit got HRs by Gonzales and Cordova to even the score, Det went to the pen with Shuey scoreless inning followed by 5IP scoreless from Mariano; Hill and Manuel pitched great for FFS but in the 12th Lewis gave up a 1 out game-winning HR from Cordova his 2nd of the day and Detroit wins 3-2; Mariano gets the Win 1-0 Lewis Loss 0-1 HRs Cordova (2), Gonzales

| GAME #4 – Andy Ashby 14-6 (3.60) vs. Ismael Valdez 13-12 (4.21)
With Detroit now leading the series 2-1 Ashby vs Valdez in Game 4; Det jumped out to the lead with 2 in the first and 3 in the 2nd, and error by Mondesi in the 3rd caused 3 unearned runs to bring back FFS to within 2 at 5-3, but Detroit just kept scoring and Valdez pitched very well going 8IP 1 ER 1 WK 5 Ks
Fossos pitched a scoreless 9th and Detroit wins 9-4 and goes up 3 games to 1; Win Valdez 1-0 Loss Ashby 0-1 HRs Hundley, Vaughn

This game was all Detroit, 1 in the 2nd, 1 in the 4th but 11 in the 8th with a 2 run HR by Hundley and a Grand slam by Gonzales; Ogea pitched 8IP 0 Runs 3 RP wrapped up the ballgame; Det wins series 4-1 Ogea Win 1-0 Loss Maddux 0-1 HRs Hundley (2), Gonzales (2), Detroit will now wait for the winner of Corktown vs California Division Series.
