Series Preview: In a battle of cellar dwellers, the Hounds had to play these games quickly, so the write-ups will be brief.
Game #1: The Tigers pounce all over the Hounds in Game 1 and take it by a 7-2 tally. Castle Rock does itself no favors, with 2 costly errors. Matt Williams hits a dinger for Dewitt.

Game #4: The Hounds keep up their slugging ways in Game 4, plating 10 runs. The Tigers do pretty well too, putting across 6 runs, but it’s not enough.

Game #5: The Hounds can clinch the series win in Game 5, but they don’t get it done. It is Dewitt’s turn to turn up the offense, as they win 10-5, with Galarraga leading the way with 2 homers and 6 RBI. The final is 10-5.

Game #6: After getting shellacked in the first game, Wojo takes the mound again for Castle Rock, hoping to get the series clincher. And, he pitches an absolute gem, complete game shutout. The Hounds bats go off too, putting up a 12-spot with 4 home runs (including 2 by Bonds). The final is 12-0.

Series Summary: The Goldeyes flex their muscles a bit as they hit 7 HR’s and they all seemed like they were 3-run shots. Valdosta didn’t hit much, didn’t pitch too great and looked rather flat as Winnipeg takes the series 4-2.
