Series Preview: After a short recess Santa Rosa Beach welcomes the Hampton Huskies for a 5 game series.
Game #1: The Huskies call on Chan Ho Park (0-0, -) to face John Smoltz (9-2, 3.36) in the opener. In the second the Young’s combine to produce a run for the Huskies, 1-0. In the 4th Park walked the first two batters and Nunnally banged an RBI single, 1-1. In their next at bat Huskies Eisenreich went deep, 2-1. In the 8th with Caminiti on board Thomas hits a clutch homer, Bums 3-2. Later in the inning Hubbard ripped a double for an insurance run. Back and forth changing pitcher hands. Back and forth changing batter hands. Batter hands win as Hubbard doubled and Pena produced a 3-run PH homer.

In the 3rd Bums fill the bases on a Finley single and Alomar and Caminiti walks with 0-out. Thomas singled for two. Sanders doubled for another. Nunnally doubled for a couple more. Bums 5-0. Huskies get back in the game on a Stanley 3-run shot in the 6th, Bums 6-3. With 2-out in the 8th Alomar banged an RBI double.

Game #5: To make the series respectable the Huskies call on Jones (6-6, 4.34) to face Bums Vanlandingham (7-4, 4.83). Huskies start the game by placing their first two batters again. But this time Vanlandingham holds. In the 3rd, Bums Gagne singled, advanced around the bases and scored on a Caminiti single. In the 4th Bums Sanders singled, White doubled and Sanders scored on a MacFarlane infield grounder, 2-0. Huskies Eisenreich lead off the 6th with a double and two batters later scored on a sacrifice fly, 2-1 Bums. EYoung ties it in the 7th with a solo shot. Bums fill the bases in the 7th with 2-out and Thomas up. Huskies go to ex-Bum Assenmacher who walked in the go ahead run.
