Jay Buhner would double to left for Winnipeg to tie the game in the sixth and Edgardo Alfonso grounded into a fielders choice in the ninth to win it. |

Paul Sorrento’s two-run homer in the first gave the Outlaws their first lead in 33 innings! Winnipeg battled back with a four run seventh to chase starter Scott Karl. Robin Ventura doubled in the go ahead run in the seventh and nailed a game-sealing blast in the ninth to close the scoring. |
| Series Summary: | Winnipeg starts the season 5-0, leading 22 of the innings against Cincinnati. The Outlaws go 0-5 to start the year and muster the lead for 11 innings.
The biggest takeaway is that either pitching is WAY out in front of hitting, or the offensive side of the ball in Cincinnati is horrific. The next 27 weeks will help determining which is which! |
