Game #1:	Great game by Navarro and Reimer homers and doubles as LBT wins 4-2. W-Navarro 7-0 S-Ward(13) L-Benes (6-3)
Game #2:	I screw and instead of pinch running I pinch hit for Candiotti so after 3 shutout inning he left the game. Jackson came in and was great allowing just 1 run in 4.1 innings of relief work. Sel 4 LBT 1 – W-Jackson(1-0) S-Willis(6) L-Viola (1-7)
Game #3:	Long Beach hammered Winnipeg ace Glavine as Vaughn homered and drove in 4 runs. Lancaster pitched great and got the win LBT 7 SEL 1
Game #4:	Candiotti got the start with a day of rest because of the opps in game 2. He was great allowing just 2 hits in 6 innings. Brooks tried to come back for LBT with a homer but it wasn`t enough as Guzman and Bankhead got hit hard. SEl 9 LBT 3 W-Candiotti(6-0)
Game #5:	Sanderson was amazing throwing a 1 hitter only his was Baerga. Tomlin was great but allowed 1 run on 3 hits a Deveraux rbi in the 1st. Sel 1 LBT 0 W-Sanderson(4-3) L-Tomlin (3-4)
Game #6:	Navarro improves to 8-0 as the Long Beach bats hammered Benes and Jackson. LBT 9 Sel 1 W-Navarro(8-0) L Benes(6-4)
Game #7:	Candiotti got the call third time in the series.He allowed 5 hits in 8 innings to get the win. Willis got the save. Candiotti(7-0) S-Willis(7) L-Viola(1-8)

Fort Worth Panthers @ Flossmoor Flying Squirrels
Preview	A pair of second place squads face off in Flossmoor as the Panthers take on the Flying Squirrels. Both teams come in hot in their last 10 games with Fort Worth having won 9 of their last 10 and the Squirrels having won 8 of their last 10 contests.
Game #1:	The road squad opens the scoring in the top of the 2nd on a bases loaded two-out, two-run single by Willie McGee. DeShields is cut down at second to end the threat. The Panthers add another in the 4th once again on a two-out RBI by McGee. McGriff adds another with an RBI and its 4-0 FWP. Fort Worth tacks on another in the 9th to lead it 5-0. In the bottom of the 9th things get a little dicey for the Panthers as the Squirrels scratch across a run and chase Wegman from the game. Then Jackson walks in a run to make it 5-2 which brings Kirby Puckett to the plate as the winning run. But Jackson gets Puckett looking to end the game. Wegman improves to 7-1 with a 1.56 ERA and Jackson gets save number 15. FWP 5 – FFS 2
Game #2:	This one is scoreless as we head to the bottom of the fourth when Kirby Puckett gets the home side on the board with a solo shot to lead off the inning. Meanwhile Maddux takes a no-hitter into the 7th for Flossmoor but a walk and a single to open the 7th get the Panthers going. A ground out RBI by Calderon ties it at one apiece. An error and a walk chase Maddux in the 9th but Charlton comes out of the pen and ends the threat. We go to extras where Eddie Taubensee sends the fans home happy with a walk off single to score Jeff Bagwell in the bottom of the 10th. Charlton picks up the win in relief, Zane Smith takes the loss despite tossing 9.1 innings of 1 run ball before Roger McDowell blew the game like the second spitter he is. FFS 2 – FWP 1
Game #3:	Flossmoor gets on the board just two batters into the game. Molitor singles, steals second and come home on a Bernie Williams single. 1-0 FFS after one. In the fourth, Harold Baines gets into one for his sixth dinger of the year. 2-0 FFS as we head to the 5th. Panthers on the board in the 5th on an RBI double from Pudge Rodriguez. But Elster lines into a double play to end the inning and limit the damage to just one. A two out hit, and a stolen base for Calderon lead to an RBI double by Edgar Martinez to tie the game at two. In the bottom of the 8th Bernie Williams reaches with two outs, steals second and comes home on Kirby Puckett’s clutch base hit to give the Squirrels a 3-2 lead as we head to the 9th. Gregg Olson comes in and gets McGriff, Joyner and Winfield 1-2-3 for his 9th save of the year. Boddicker the winner with 8 strong innings improves to 6-3. Roger McDowell loses it in relief. FFS 3 – FWP 2
Game #4:	After an off day the two teams are back at it and the Panthers come out swinging. Back to back doubles by McGee and Miller put FWP up quickly and Fred McGriff endorses one into the seats just two batters later. Rodriguez singles home Winfield later in the inning and after just a half inning its 4-0 Panthers. Winfield adds two more in the 3rd on a homer to make it 6-0, as Greg Hibbard does not have it today. Panthers add another in the fourth to lead it 7-0. Squirrels get a run back in the bottom of the inning as Molitor triples to lead it off and comes home on Puckett’s ground out. More runs for the Panthers in the 8th and the rout is on. 9-1 FWP. Jerry Browne pops a solo homer in the 8th for Flossmoor to make it 9-2. Squirrels add another in the 9th but come up well short. Tewksbury the winner to move to 4-0, Hibbard the loser falls to 2-3. FWP 9 – FFS 3
Game #5:	Scoreless to the bottom of the third when Paul Molitor puts a charge into one for a three run blast off Jim Abbott. 3-0 Flossmoor after three.Panthers get a run in the 5th on a two out double by Ivan Calderon that scores Elster just ahead of Bichette’s throw. Squirrels get the run back in the 6th on an RBI single by Bichette and lead it 4-1 as we head to the 7th. An error and a walk chase Bones from his debut. Osuna gets the next batter but Edgar Martinez picks up a two-out RBI to trim the lead to two runs. In the bottom of the 7th Flossmoor puts two on and the Panthers go to the bullpen to Roger McDowell, and you can guess what happens next. Travis Fryman brings home two with an RBI double to make it 7-2 Flying Squirrels. The rough series for McDowell continues. A bases clearing double for Ron Gant off McDowell in the 8th puts it out of reach for the Panthers. Flossmoor takes the game and the rubber match of the series. Ricky Bones picks up the win in his debut allowing 1 earned run in 6.1 innings. Abbott takes the loss and falls to 6-3 on the year. FFS 10 – FWP 2
Summary	Flossmoor squeaks out a series win over the Panthers three games to two. The teams will now get two days off before their next series. Flossmoor will head on the road to take on division leader Portland, while the Panthers head home to take on Stockton. For the Flying Squirrels the series will be the start of a 21 game (!!!) road trip.

Summary	Sluggers start off slow, managing only 4 hits to drop the first game 4-0. Then are no-hit through 5 innings in the next game before the bats finally come to life and manage to steal the game 3-2. Dennis Martinez dominates in the 3rd game to take it 4-1, then the Sluggers live up to their name in taking the final two games 17-2 and 9-0 to take 4 of 5.
