Scott shuts out the Grays allowing 5 hits and 2 walks. Huson was 2-4 and xGray Schofield went 2-2 W. Grays Alomar went 2-4.

Yes, Leary shuts out the Grays allowing 6 hits and 2 walks. At least the grays are improving. James went 2-4 2b; McReynolds 2-4 RBI. Grays Caminiti 2-3 2b.

Valdosta 5-4. Bombers get the series off to a good start as they sneak past the Cougars. Tony Pena homered twice in a losing cause.

Clovis 2-0. Well the Bombers at least rapped out 3 hits today and lose yet again.

California giving Chicago a run for their money in 1990 heads into the Windy City for a long 7 game Stretch.

Chicago takes the series 5 games to 2 but a couple hits either way in the close games and the series could have flip flopped.

3rd place Missouri travels to Michigan to take on the 2nd place squad.

Burkett pitches better than rookie, Charles Nagy. Sierra and Galarraga with home runs for the visitors. In the 6th inning, Missouri scores 5 runs. Missouri wins game 1.

Michigan scores runs in each of the first 6 innings. Ripken, Palmeiro, Brooks, and Nokes each have 3 hits. Crim, the pitcher gets 3 RBIs on a double. Galarraga with a homer for Missouri.

Game 3 – Morris vs. Langston

Langston dominates the Black Bears. Morris struggles. Michigan erupts for 4 runs in the 5th inning. Gaetti with 2 RBIs for Michigan. Bo Jackson hits a homer for Michigan.

Game 4 – Rasmussen vs. Gullickson

Barry Bonds goes yard. Rasmussen and the pen are strong. Kenny Rogers goes a scoreless 3 innings in relief. Dale Murphy with 3 hits for Michigan.

Murphy, Samuel, and Brooks all hit homers for Michigan. Brunansky and Samuel each hit homers.

Key is strong for Missouri. Milt Thompson hits a home run. Melvin andGalarraga record 3 hits for Missouri.

Knudson gets knocked early. Michigan hangs in there and scores 6 unanswered runs. Juan Samuel with 1 homer and 4 RBIs for Michigan.

Hrbek’s 2-run HR in the first set the tone for the game (and the series). Stockton put up five runs in the 5th inning to put it away.

Janesville scored early and late to hold off Stockton, who had a grand slam from Lavalliere and a solo shot by Snyder to put up five in the 4th inning. Janesville answered with a HR in the 6th and another in the 8th to take a 9-6 lead. Stockton scored two in the ninth and were threatening when Williams shut the door.

the Juggernauts were aptly named in this game. Bonilla went 3-3 with 6 RBI. Deer also had three hits, and three RBI.

Stockton scored two in the first on a wild pitch and a double play. Lavalliere, Snyder and Hatcher had 2 hits apiece. Lavalliere’s netted him 3 RBI.

Stockton takes the series 3 games to 2.  13 HRs in the 5-game series.

Cedar Park Bears visit the Montana Cutthroats. Two third place teams in the American League trying to get back into the wild card race face each other in Montana for a 5 game series.

Bill Krueger and three Cutthroat relievers hold the Bears to 5 hits as Montana takes game 1. Brian Harper and Ellis Burks each get two hits a piece and drive in a run to lead the Montana offense.

FINAL – MCT 4 CPB 1

Montana takes advantage of two Cedar Park errors and scores 5 unearned runs to propel to the win. Ace starters for both teams get roughed up a little as the two teams combine for 14 runs. Paul Sorrento, acquired in a trade two weeks ago, makes his Montana debut and gets two hits and a HR.

JOSE RIJO THROWS A NO-HITTER!!!!

The first no-hitter in Montana Cutthroats history is thrown by Jose Rijo. Rijo walks only 3 and strikes out 6 in the gem. Meanwhile, the Cutthroats back him with 8 runs on 10 hits. Alvin Davis got 3 doubles and Glenallen Hill hit a 3-run pitch hit HR for the victors.

Montana blows a 4-0 early lead as everything unravels. Cedar Park offense wakes up in a big way. Randy Mulligan and Will Clark each drive in 3 runs a piece with Clark also getting 3 hits. Bears score 11 runs on 12 hits and take advantage of 4 Cutthroat errors.

Jason Grimsley out duals Mark Portugal in the finale. Montana squeaks by with a 2-1 win. Grimsley gets help from the bullpen as they pitch in for 4 scoreless innings of relief.

Montana surprises with a 4 games to 1 series win. Strong pitching was the key difference in the series. Jose Rijo was the highlight of the series with his game 3 no-hitter.

Mexico City goes 5-2 against Traverse City.
