Despite Devon White’s 4 hits, Missouri prevails 9-5. Key with a good performance for the Bears.

Bonds, Williams, and Sierra homer for the Black Bears as cagey veteran Jack Morris shuts down the Skeeter offense. 8-2 Missouri.

Bears make four errors leading to five unearned runs. Devon White stays hot with two triples. Skeeters win, 9-5.

It takes 13 innings but the Skeeters win their second straight, 6-5. White stays hot with another three hits including a HR and two steals (five so far versus one caught). Floyd Bannister sees his ERA raise to 2.48 in a decent performance.

Jerry Reuss, grade 3, pitches a CG with no earned runs. White has two hits, three RBI, and two steals. 6-1 Skeeters.

White goes hitless but Skeeters win their third straight, 6-3, as Maldonado hits a 3-run HR to cap a four-run seventh.

Bonds and Gallaraga homer as Missouri wins the finale, 7-2. Key with his second win of the series. Devon White goes 0-4 again, removing the luster from his earlier hot streak, but is still 13-31 in the series with seven steals, three triples, and a homer.

Sugar Land wins four of seven but remains in last place.

California drops 5 of 7 games against Montana.

Michigan takes 4 of 5 from Long Beach

First place Manhattan cruises into Clovis for a five gamer.

Clovis takes the opener 3-1 behind Ken Howell.

Gas Hornets return the favor with a 3-1 win of their own behind the strong arm of Jeff Ballard who improves to 9-5 on the season.

Scott Bankhead is superb in a 2-0 shutout for the Cougars.

Scott Garrelts returns the favor in a 2-0 shutout of his own for Manhattan. Garrelts improves to 13-1 and looks like he will need to clear some space on the trophy shelf after the season ends.

Clovis takes the rubber game 4-0 behind another strong performance from Kirk McCaskill.

Clovis takes a well played and superbly pitched 3-2 series win. Despite series loss Gas Hornets look like the class of the NL.

Winnipeg is having their best season and are not far from reaching .500 but Germantown is a much better team with playoff dreams.

The real John Smoltz did not show up and Winnipeg hammered him for 7 in 3 innings. Glavine allowed just 1 homer and won his 7th for Winnipeg.

Finley gave up 3 runs and the game went into extra where Winnipeg squeaked out a 4-3 win as Jefferies got 3 doubles.

Benes final start of the year was a gem K’s 10 allowing no earned runs in 8 innings.

Aquilera blew the game giving up 6 runs as the Winnipeg pen was great and got the win.

Calderon and Devereaux homered as Stottlemyer was great again as the grade 7 lowered his era to 2.30, WPG 4 3 Amazing Winnipeg was up 5-0 vs a much better team now the doubleheader.

Glavine had long ball troubles again as Ger got 3 homers and 4 runs off him that was enough for Smoltz.

Finley the 1`6 wasn’t great again but this time the Germantown bullpen was great.

Winnipeg is thrilled to have won 5 of the 7 and are now just 5 games under .500 at 50 and 55. Not a happy series for Germantown who had to expect to have won 4 for 5 games vs 4th place Winnipeg.

Stockton’s offense explodes. Oester, Tettleton, and Thompson had three RBI each.

Cedar Park scores early and late to win. Browne and Puckett had two RBI each.

Navarro and Cerutti duel, with Hrbek doing most of the damage for Stockton with four RBI.

Cedar Park takes the series 3 games to 2Stockton lost Tettleton and Ojeda for extended periods.

The Janesville Juggernauts host the league leading Fort Worth Panthers in a 5 game match up. Fort Worth comes to Janesville with a league best 67-28 record.

Game one was close until the 8th inning, when Fort Worth come up with six runs to win the game 7-2.

The Panthers score 7 runs early and the bullpen holds it up as they win 8-6.

The Juggernauts Mitch Williams fails to hold the lead as the Panthers score 3 runs over the 8th and 9th innings to win 5-2.

Janesville finally gets on the win board, as Eric Plunk is brilliant in long relief, going 4.1 innings as the Juggernauts win 4-3.

Again Janesville’s bullpen fails them, as the Panthers score 6 runs in the top of the 9th to win the game 7-2.

Fort Worth wins the series 4-1 to improve their league leading record. They head next to Detroit for a one game makeup, then are at home against California. No rest for the weary for Janesville, as they next head to Chicago for a 5 game set.

Arch Rivals from a opposite divisions match up in a Head to Head 5 game series.

Orel Hershser (11-8 3.04) goes 6.2 innings and allows only a single Earned Run to the Chihuahuas. Darryl Strawberry has the big bat for the Demolition of Chicago going 2 for 3 with a HR & 4 RBI’s.

This one goes 12 innings and the home team prevails. Chicago throws out 5 relievers who go 5.1 innings of No-Hit, 1 Walk ball.

Darryl Strawberry is 4 for 4 with a HR & 3 RBI’s for Chicago. Howard Johnson goes 2 for 4 with a HR and 3 RBI’s and Danny Darwin (12-1 2.04) picks up the win for the Chihuahuas Jeff Russell notches his 21st save on the season.

Dave Stieb (13-3 2.56) goes 8 innings allowing 2 Run, Dennis Eckersley picks up his 28th save of the season for Chicago. Eric Davis is 2 for 4 with a HR and 3 RBI’s.

Doug Drabek (13-5 2.11) goes the distance for the Demolition. Wade Boggs is 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s.

Chicago plays well at home, and looks forward to a possible match up with the Chihuahuas in the playoffs.
