Michigan Marauders @ Clovis Cougars
Series Preview
Michigan Marauders come to Clovis for an odd five gamer with a day off in the middle. Clovis looking forward to catching up with old friends Rick Sutcliffe and Bob Milacki, both former Cougars.
Game #1:
Clovis takes the opener 5-2 behind Bud Black. Denny Walling provided the big blow with a two run pinch homer to put Clovis on top in the
7th.
Game #2:
Michigan evens it up with a 7-4 win. Bo Jackson’s 2 run blast and Rick Wrona’s 2 run triple highlighted a 5 run 8th that decided it for Mac Williamson who pitched 3.1 strong innings in relief for the win.
Game #3:
Clovis comes back with a walk off 4-3 win. Dan Gladden doubled to lead off the bottom of the 9th and Gantner’s smash down the thirdbase line proved too much for Gaetti to handle sending Gladden home with the game winner. Barfield smashed a pair of homers for the Cougars.
Game #4:
After a day off Michigan comes back with a 11 inning 3-2 win. Brunansky blasted a homer off of Smith for the winner. Williamson picked up his second win of the series in relief.
Game #5:
Clovis takes game 5 and the series with a 6-4 win. Howell’s two run triple and Henderson’s 2 run double were the big blows for Clovis.
Series Summary
In a see-saw series Clovis comes out on top 3 games to 2 over the Michigan Marauders.

Series Preview
The Juggernauts take on the league leading Demolition in a five game match up in Janesville.
Game #1:
A pitchers duel, Chicago scores it’s lone run in the first inning as Stewart goes the distance in a 1-0 win. Bob Welch goes 9 innings in the loss.
Game #2:
Chicago keeps rolling, as they take game two 4-2. Larkin for the Demolition goes 2/5 with 2 runs scored and a RBI. Stieb improves his record to 10-3 on the season.
Game #3:
Game three is all Chicago and they get their bats rolling walking away with a 10-1 victory. They pound the Juggernaut pitchers for 14 hits, and Clemens goes the distance to improve to 8-4.
Game #4:
Another pitchers duel, the Juggernauts again come up on the wrong side, losing 2-1. Plunk, making a spot start in place of injured Jim Clancy, goes 10 innings in the loss, giving up the winning run in the 10th. Eckersley records his 21st save of the season.
Game #5:
Chicago completes the sweep with a convincing 5-2 win. Knepper goes 8 innings in a tough loss, as all the scoring for both teams occurs in the 6th inning.
Series Summary
A well play series, 3 of the 5 games played could’ve gone the other way. Chicago heads to Fort Worth next to take on the Panthers, while
Janesville hits the road against Cedar Park.

Stockton used solo HRs from Tettleton, Leoanard and Charlie Hayes to beat Detroit, with Navarro continuing his solid, if unsung season.

HR: V. Hayes, Guerreroin addition to the HRs, Detroit got big performaces from Bell (3-4, 3 runs, RBI) and Parker (4-5, 3 doubles, 2 RBI) and a great outing from Gubicza.

California Quakes @ Montana Cutthroats
Series Preview
The Montana Cutthroats finally return home after a monster 39-game road trip!They return to face the 3rd place California Quakes in a seven game series. The Quakes hold a 9-5 lead in the season series heading in.
Montana is fourth in the division well behind the top 3 teams.
Game #1:
The Quakes use the big inning to pull away from the Cutthroats. They get 6 in the 5th and 4 in the 8th to make it a laugher. Davis homers. Treadway goes 3-5 with 4 RBI. Mahler gets win. Hill the loss.

Game #2:
Ricky Jordan clubs a 3-run HR and Mookie Wilson drives home the game winning run in the bottom of the 6th to lead Montana past the Quakes 5-4. Flanagan gets the win with Lancaster making his 15 save in relief. Canseco hits a 2-run HR in losing effort.

Clay Parker twirls a complete game 3-hit SHO over the Quakes. Albert Belle tripled and homered to back Parker’s gem.

Not to be outdone, John Farrell returns the favor with a complete game 3-hit SHO of his own as the Quakes beat Montana 11-0. California pounds out 20 hits in the laugher. Dunston and Davis get four hit games a piece with Davis belting 2 HRs. The Quakes muscled up for 6 long balls in the win.

Montana scores in the bottom of the 8th inning to win a nail bitter 4-3. The Quakes had tied the game in the top half of the inning with a 2-run rally. Doug Bair gets the win in relief.

Rick Mahler throws a CG 7-hitter as he shuts out the Cutthroats. Davis hits yet another HR to lead the offense. Tony Phillips goes 3 for 4. The series is now tied 3-3.

Game #7:
Mike Flanagan came into the series 1-10 on the year. But he steps up against the Quakes with a combined 5-hit shutout with Montana closer Les Lancaster in the series finale. Flanagan goes 7 innings for his second win of the series. Montana scratched single runs in the  3rd and 6th innings off Nolan Ryan to get enough for the win.

Montana takes the series 4 games to 3 over the Quakes. Shutouts were
