Is one of the craziest pitching duels that the MWWL has ever seen.  Doug Drabek goes 8.2 innings with a No-Hitter, but gives up a lone single to Jerry Browne with 2 outs in the 9th.Chicago can’t score off Mike Moore for 12 innings, as Moore is left out there to face 44 batters, and go the distance of 12.2 Innings Pitched. However the last batter Moore faces is Mike Scioscia who promptly Homers off Moore to win it for Chicago in the bottom of the 13th.Final Score: Chicago 1 – Cedar Park 0

Janesville is finally on top in yet another close game, winning 3-2 with a walk off run in the 9th.
Game #5:
Detroit wins this one 5-3 as the two teams remain battle again in another close game.
Game #6:
Final game of the series is no contest as Detroit slams Janesville 12-2.
Series Summary
Detroit wins the series 5-1 but this could have been much different as 4 of the six games were decided by 2 runs or less. Detroit now 12-8 on the season while Janesville falls to 9-11.

Series Preview
The second place Quakes from California travel to Montana to face the Cutthroats. Montana rebounded from their 0-7 first series to win their second 4-3.
Game #1:
Montana scores three times in the bottom of the 3rd inning and Ken Hill makes it standup with a quality 7 innings pitched. Hill only allows 1 run over the 7 innings and gets the win. Kevin Seitzer and Tommy Herr each with 2 hits to lead the Cutthroats. FINAL – MCT 4 CAL 1
Game #2:
Jose Canseco hits three 2-run HRs in his first three at-bats to put California ahead 6-0 after 3 1/2 innings. The Quakes never look back as they cruise to the win. California gets 20 hits in the game led by Canseco and Hayes with 4 hits each. FINAL – CAL 15 MCT 5
Game #3:
Albert Belle’s RBI double wins it in walk off fashion for the Cutthroats in the bottom of the 9th. Belle’s knock breaks a 2-2 tie.  Norm Charlton gets the win in relief for Montana. FINAL – MCT 3 CAL 2
Game #4:
Another close game as California scores in the top of the 9th to break a 1-1 tie and win it. Garrelts and Parker are splendid on the hill for each team. Davis and Hayes drove in runs for the Quakes.  Kunkel hit a solo HR for Montana. FINAL – CAL 2 MCT 1
Game #5:
The Quakes power up for 5 HRs and blow away the Cutthroats. California erupted for 14 runs over the first three innings as this one was never in doubt. Greenwell and Lind with three hits each. FINAL – CAL 16 MCT 2
Game #6:
Von Hayes and Kevin McReynolds got three hits a piece to lead the Quakes to the win. Both teams scored twice in the 1st inning, but the Quakes got 2 unearned runs in the 4th and then held off the Cutthroats the rest of the way. FINAL – CAL 4 MCT 3
Game #7:
Mike Scott throws a complete game 3-hit shutout to lead the Quakes past the Cutthroats. Glenn Davis hits 2 solo HRs and Mike Greenwell adds a 3-run HR to lead the California offense. FINAL – CAL 7 MCT 0
Series Summary
Montana takes two of the first three games of the series, but California wins the final four of them to takes the series 5 games to 2. After opening the season with a disappointing 6-15 homestand, Montana now hits the road for the first time.
