Chicagohad Home Runs from Kal Daniels, Ken Phelps & Darryl Strawberry, but it wasn’t enough as the Tigers took game #1 |

Greg Maddux (12-9 3.17) got bounced early from the contest for the Tigers, and his counter part Orel Hershiser (17-6 2.48) was solid through 6 innings of play. Every player in the lineup for Chicago had an RBI (Kal Daniels 2). A slew of itchy bullpen arms made it’s way though the Tigers line up and Chicago ended up on top. |

RBI’s by Joe Carter & Dave Winfield were all that Bob Knepper (12-5 3.32) need through 6 innings. Brian Holton, Juan Agosto & Doug Jones (30th Save) shut-out the Demolition. |

After a rare day off in the series Chicago bounced back to tie the series at 2 games each. George Brett’s 3 run Home Run in the 5th was the big blow for Chicago. |
