OFFENSE & POWER – MAKE TIJUANA CHANGE TEAM NAME

Tijuana, Mexico –  Today the franchise formerly known as the Tijuana Traffic officially changed their team name to the Tijuana Bottle Rockets, When asked about the change, a team official simply stated, “We wanted to associate ourselves with something a little more exciting and even a little bit dangerous”. “When the team relocated from Philadelphia it was a very sudden occurrence and the selection of our name was chosen in a rushed fashion”.
I for one think any name other than Traffic is a winner. We’ll see if Bottle Rockets = victories for this up and coming franchise. With the generous amount of offense this club has, there is no doubt, it will provide a massive amount of fireworks for its baseball crazy local Mexican and United States fans..
In a local pub, near the Mexico – US Border, team officials unveiled the teams new look logo, and had this to say, “Power is the mainstay of this club.  We plan to explode on pitchers, and ignite more flames on any reliever that stands in the way of the Tijuana Bottle Rockets!”
