December 7, 1999

Chicago, IL – The Chicago Mobsters went out and traded for their outfielder of the future on Tuesday December 7th, 1999. The Mobsters dealt with the Staunton Cheap Seats. Staunton General Manager Jim Schwendman wanted a second baseman, and talks with Chicago grew until they ended up with Homer Bush. Bush who will be penciled into the Cheap Seats lineup on a daily basis, was excited to be going to a place where he will play everyday. Bush was happy about the move and said “In Chicago I was going to split time with Marlon, and the Mobsters appeared to be committed to using us both. Here in Staunton I will play everyday, and I will produce”. The Mobsters received Corey Patterson, a top notch 5 tool potential outfielder who could be a 30/30 man in the not so distant future. Chicago also received Chad Durbin, a young right handed pitcher who could be turn out to be a sleeper in the deal.
