FIRST SHOT FIRED IN CHICOPEE

For Immediate Release
November 9th, 2009

Chicopee Times –

The first shot has been fired. The Revolution has begun. GM Heather Whitacre announces today that the Minutemen have sent Kevin Millwood to the Swing for 3B Bradon Inge. “Brandon fits the mold of the players we want to build this team with, he is a prototypical Patriot. Not afraid to mix it up and get dirty.” Field manager Squid Whitacre is thrilled with the move.” I know when you first look at it people may think we were nuts to trade Milly, but Brandon brings us a guy who immediately gives us stability at 3B  and that is BIG for us. Great defender and some pop in the middle to help Mikey and Garrett. Milly will be missed, especially for what he brought to our young guys, we wish him the best.” The move does give the Minutemen the room to possibly move Juan Uribe. Super scout Corry Whitacre has been rumored to be headed to Arizona to check on some prospects from the Indians organization. Heather Whitacre will continue to work the phones while rumors are running rampant that she may be close to moving Jon Lester. “It will be tough to move him, but we possibly can gather some key parts for our rebuilding process.” The Minutemen have completed their first volley and we are sure there is more to come.
