Tempe Tempers @ Selkirk Steelers

Series Preview: After years of being Tempe’s punching bag Selkirk at least this time has some firepower to make it a series. Selkirk is in second place and Tempe 4th, but looking at Tempers team that seems crazy! Let’s see what 7 games says…
Game #1: Brantley 4 hits, Bogaerts 3 hits and 5 homers (Osuna, Longoria, Albies, Martinez, Freeman)! oh god, its Tempe eating our lunch again. Selkirk did get homers from Semien and Alfonso but not enough 13-3 Tempe
Game #2: Profar and Cooper homer and Matz is solid Selkirk wins 5-3
Game #3: Spangenberg homers? and Gibson goes 7.2 innings in a 5-2 Selkirk win,
Game #4: Semien and Alfonso homer and Turnbull throws a 3 hitter! Selkirk 7-0
Game #5: Max Fried the Selkirk ace has a shutout through 7 but then I left him in oops. Tempe pounds him for 5 in the 8th. Then its kill the pen until Selkirk wins 6-5 in the 15th inning,
Game #6: Sweet revenge Tempe wins 11-2 Albies and Martinez homer in the blowout
Game #7: Wauguespack was strong at Tempe wins 2-1
Series Summary: Selkirk manages to win the series 4 to 3, not sure we have even won a series vs Tempe. Looking at Tempe they are a much better team than this 13-21 and when they turn it around getting to Columbus seems tough. Selkirk is a very happy 19-14 as we try to reach .500.

Batter of the week: Freeman (TEM) with 11 rbis

Game #1: Gausman and 4 other arms combine for a 4 hit shutout to kick the series off. Piscotty drives in the games only run in the 6th off Lauer. Lauer pitched a great 7 innings but fell short today.

RR 0 TCP 1

W – Jimenez (2)
L – Lauer (3)
S – Workman (12)

Game #2: Score tied after 5 full, 2-2. It would take 7 more innings to get a winner as both teams are tossing a ton of doughnuts in the series. Daniel Robertson is the hero today for Triple Creek with the GW single in the 12th.

RR 2 TCP 3

W – Workman (1)
L – Mella (1)
S – None

Game #3: Great game! Renegades tap Hunter Wood for 2 in the 1st and that would be all the scoring for the first 6 innings. Patriots plate 3 in the 7th off a long Gurriel bomb to take a 3-2 lead. Rosemere cobbles a small rally in the 9th to tie it up 3-3. They then add one more in the 10th to take a 4-3 lead which Mills would lock down. Tatis jacked a 2-run homer in the 1st and pinch hitter Dahl popped the game-winning solo shot in the 10th.

RR 4 TCP 3

W – Gonsolin (2)
L – McGee (1)
S – Mills (4)

Game #4: After a day off the Patriots come back very refreshed as the pound out 17 hits and score 12. Rosemere was a bit sluggish after the layoff as they could muster but 2 hits. Strahm went the distance for Triple Creek. Corey Seager enjoyed a 3-6 3 doubles game while Strahm helped himself big time going 3-3 with 4 RBIs himself. Don’t remember a game where a pitcher collected 4 RBIs before.

W – Strahm (4)
L – Eickoff (2)
S – None

Game #5: Triple Creek draws first blood with 2 in the 1st and builds a 7-0 lead heading into the 7th. RR 4 TCP 7

W – Buttrey (2)
