Game #1:  VIR 4-2 W-Daniel Wright (2-0) L-Rick Porcello (12-12) SV-Casey Fien (1)

Three singles in the 2nd give VIR their first run and then Jean Segura brings everyone in with a 3-run jimmy-jack. Wright holds on for the win despite giving up Mitch Haniger’s 2-run homer in the 4th.

Game #2:  MAN 4-2 W-Drew Pomeranz (9-6) L-Tim Adleman (4-9) SV- Scott Alexander (3)

With two runners on in the 2nd, J.T. Realmuto pokes one in the gap and both runners come around to score the first two runs of the game. Ian Kinsler added to the Project’s lead in the 6th with a 2-run double that gave MAN a 4-0 lead. Pomeranz took control from there by not allowing VIR but 1 hit through 7 innings. In the 8th, Pomeranz gave up singles to Jason Castro and Jean Segura and they both scored on a long double by Anthony Rizzo. Pomeranz got out of that inning and Alexander came on in the 9th and retired the side in order for the save.

Game #3:  VIR 5-3 W- Trevor Williams (10-9) L-Rafael Montero (1-7) SV- Felipe Rivero (24)

MAN jumped out 3-0 after 4 innings thanks to Wilson Ramos’ 2-run clout into the left field bleachers. But, an error and a 2-run single from Carlos Santana knotted the score in the 5th. Both pitchers got through the 6th and then Montero ran into trouble. With 2 outs in the 7th and Whit Merrifield on first, George Springer crushed a fastball deep into the 2nd deck in centerfield to give VIR a 5-3 lead. Rivero came in and made sure it stayed that way.

Game #4:  MAN 9-5 W-Tyler Chatwood (10-12) L-Chris Tillman (4-8) SV-Scott Alexander (4)

MAN jumped on VIR and pounded out 13 hits that led to 9 runs and an easy victory. A 2-run Wilson Ramos triple followed by a Hanley Ramirez solo homer highlighted a 4-run 3nd inning for the project. Behind 4-0, VIR attempted a come back when Jean Segura blasted a homer and cut MAN’s lead to 4-3 after 5 innings. However, a Jace Peterson 2-run single followed by a Zach Granite RBI gave MAN 3 more runs in the 7th and from there the bullpen shut the door.

Game #5:  MAN 9-5 W-Masahiro Tanaka (10-10) L-Trevor Cahill (3-13)

This time the Project ripped 14 hits and won by the same score as the last game. Kyle Seager was on fire. He was 3-5 with 3 runs scored and he crushed a grand slam and a solo shot to garner 5 RBI. Hanley Ramirez added his 23rd homer (a 2-run blast) and Asdrubal Cabrera went deep as well.

Game #6:  MAN 12-0 W-Rick Porcello (13-12) L-Luis Perdomo (11-6)

Manhattan bats continued to be on fire as they produced 16 hits. Hanley Ramirez was 2-5 with a homer and 5 RBI and Kyle Seager was 3-4 with a homer and 3 RBI. J.T. Realmuto laced his 8th triple of the year. On the mound, Porcello made up for his first game. He went 7 innings scattering 4 hits while allowing no runs and striking out 7.
