Game #1:  The two starters did great. Eflin not allowing an ER in 7 innings and Weaver with a 13K performance. The locals tied things u with Pagan 3 hits of the game only to fall 6-2 in 11 innings

Gators 6 – Renegades 2

Game #2:  Another pitching duel. Gsellman went the distance but fell short as the locals left 11 men on base

Gators 2 – Renegades 1

Game #3:  Rosemere jumped to an early 3-1 lead but fell apart thereafter committing 4 errors on their way to another loss

Gators 7 – Rosemere 4

Game #4:  Rosemere was easily cruising to a 2-0 win behind a strong performance by Liriano. Then after two outs in the eight, a double + triple + HR turned a 2-0 lead into a 3-2 deficit … Out of nowhere, Rosemere answered back with 3 runs in B8

Gators 3 – Renegades 5

Game #5:  That one had Gators written all over it. Paxton gets injured for 22 games so Rosemere had to send low graded relievers. They did pretty well holding the Gators to one run while Crawford delivered a B8 2 outs single that drove in a couple of unearned runs. Romo got his second save

Gators 1 – Renegades 2

Game #6:  Once again, Eflin and Weaver did very well. Speaks a lot about the two teams offense… The Gators prevailed once again in extra innings

Gators 3 – Renegades 1

Game #7:  A fun one to end the series. Both team battled back and forth. The locals ends on top as Romo got his 3rd save of the series
Series Summary:  The Gators prevails 4-3 and they had a lot of fun on the bases as they kept stealng bases. Looks like it might be a long season for both teams

Davis let up a game tying Solo Home Run to Clint Robinson. The two teams headed to Extra Innings. Motor City pushed across 2 more in the 13th & Chicago couldn’t do a thing against the Muscle’s Bullpen.

Final Score: Motor City 4 – Chicago 2

W: A.J. Ramos (1-1 0.84)
L: Jose LeClerc (0-1 6.00)
S: Will T. Harris (#2)

Sabathia moves one step closer to the Mid-West Baseball League all time Wins leader as he is now 7 behind the current leader Andy Pettitte. But then C.C. Slips and falls on the dugout step, twisting his knee & will be out for 15 days as he heads to a stint on the Disabled List.

Final Score: Chicago 9 – Motor City 1

W: C.C. Sabathia (1-2 5.60)
L: Michael Leake (0-2 6.88)

Game #6:  Jacob deGrom allows only 3 hits & 2 walks to the Mobsters, while Striking Out 5 in a Complete Game Shut Out. Mike Trout is 3 for 3 with a Home Run & 3 RBI’s. Brandon Moss has 3 RBI’s for the Muscle as well.

Game #2:  Dickerson (3) another homer but it wasn’t enough to overcome the 4 run 1st for Explorers. Final, 7-4
Game #3:  Corktown gets the 4 run first including a 2 run Hosmer homer (2). That propels them to 6-3 win. DeSlafini goes 7 innings, 1 hit – Blackmon homer (7) in the 7th.
Game #4:  Explorers come back and Tomlin goes the distance giving up just a single to Hosmer in the 7th as he tosses 1 hit shutout. Granderson accounts for all the runs on 2 homers (5, 6) in the 3-0 Columbus win.
Game #5:  Deja vu all over again as Explorers win their 2nd straight 3-0 game. Shoemaker goes 7, 3 hits, for the win. Carpenter hits #5 in the win.
Game #6:  Explorers keep it up as they build up a 5-0 lead after 3. LeMahieu makes it 5-2 with a 2 run homer (2) in the 7th off Happ, but that was all the Cycle could do. Desmond 98) and Flowers (2) homer for Columbus in the 7-2 win.
Game #7:  Granderson (7) and Carpenter (6) homer in the 1st for Columbus. Carpenter (7) homers again in the 3rd and a 4th run in the 5th gives Rusin a 4-0 lead. But he gives up a 2 run homer (1) to Asche in a 3 run 7th. Giving way to the bullpen, Rusin sees his win evaporate when Barrett gives up a 3 run homer (3) to Hosmer in the 8th for 6-4 lead that Loup and Colome make stand in the 6-4 Corktown win.
Series Summary:  Columbus takes 5 of 7 from Corktown in the series. Columbus packs their bags for Sacramento. Corktown goes home to host Valdosta.

Tempe 7-6
Game #4:  A Morrison RBI double in the second was the only run of the game until the bottom of the 9th when a Morrison error extended the inning and Cano singled in the tying run. Lumber had a runner on 3rd in the 11th but they couldn’t get the squeeze down with Tempe’s infield in. In the 15th, Tempe loaded the bases, but Braun went down swinging. Tempe loaded the bases again in the 16th and Davis was able to get weak grounder through for the win.
Tempe 2-1 16 INN
Game #5:  The only game that wasn’t a one run game. Company got an early lead with a RBI single by Polanco but Tempe tied it in the bottom of the 1st on a Leon RBI single. Beltre hit a two run homerun in the 3rd and Tempe added another run in the 4th. Marte hit a solo in the 5th. Lester battled for 8 INN and Law tossed a rare perfect 9th.

Tempe 2-1 14 INN
Series Summary:  Tempe’s dropped the opener, but won the next five. Both bullpens may be a little tired after so many extra innings and close games. The series could have easily finished at 3-3.

Series Preview: First place Bethesda comes to cold and snowy Long Valley for a division clash with a sub-500 Noreaster team.
Game #1: Straily vs Hill in the opener with Hill coming out on top 3-1 for Bethesda. Bethesda’s Anthony Rendon hits the 1st pitch of the game for a homer and the Bandicoots never looked back. First round pick Dan Straily drops to 0-4 already this young season. Bad news for Bethesda as Hill leaves in the 4th inning with a 23 day injury.
Game #2: Another great pitching matchup as Jersey’s Kyle Hendricks goes against Jake Arrieta. And a great game it was. Bethesda scores 2 in the 1st inning and it holds up until the 6th when Jay Bruce hits a 2-run homer to tie the game. Rendon hits a sac fly in the 9th for Bethesda and they take a 3-2 lead to the bottom of the 9th. Yasmani Tomas comes off the bench for the Noreasters to hit a 2-out, 2-run, pinch hit home run to win the game for Jersey 4-3.

Game #5: Yet another close game as Bethesda’s Sonny Gray hurls 1 run ball for 7 plus innings coming away with a 2-1 win. Vince Velasquez pitched well for 7 innings but came up short. Brad Miller hits #10 for Bethesda.
Game #6: Finally, Dan Straily wins a game for Jersey as the Nor’easters pound out 15 hits and take Bethesda 13-2. Travis Shaw and A-Gone homer for the losing Bandicoots.
Game #7:  May I say close game again, this one featured another good pitching matchup with Arrieta going against Kyle Hendricks. Fitting enough it went 13 innings tied 3-3 before the Bandicoots scored 4 runs in the top of the 13th and won the game 7-3. Brad Miller homered again for Bethesda.
Series Summary:  Bethesda wins the series 5-2 and looks to be the odds on favorite to win the NL East for the second consecutive year. Bethesda’s Brad Miller now has 11 homers and 27 RBI’s in only 27 games. He’s on a pace to hit 69 homers and drive in 169….
