Yonge Street took the drive in from the QEW & I-94 West into the Windy City of Chicago for a six game set.
Game #1:
Felix Hernandez (23-1 1.01) looked sharp for 7.1 innings. Ender Incarte was 3 for 5 & Michael McKenry was 3 for 5 with 2 RBI’s for Chicago.

Taijuan Walker (1-2 2.25) picked up his 1st win in the season for the Talkers. Kelvin Herrera picked up his 2nd save on the season.

Josh Beckett (11-4 2.91) picked up the win. Kristopher Negron was 3 for 4 with 2 Home Run’s & 4 RBI’s. The game was costly for the Mobsters who went down with a 5 day injury.

HR: Schoop, TroutBack and forth game goes extras after Schoop’s RBI double tied it at two in the 7th inning. Davis’s steal of home in the 11th gave Fremont a brief lead, but Chris Young’s second RBI of the day tied it and Mike Trout’s 2 run walk-off HR gave Motor City a much-needed win. Fremont’s Schoop matched Trout and Young’s 2 RBI total.

Last place Columbus visits the slumping 2nd place Snappers, glad to be home after a rough road trip.
Game #1:
Valdosta 3-1.
Kevin Correia made his first appearance of the year a good one as he pitched 7 shutout innings. Kimbrel with the save.
Game #2:
Valdosta 5-1.
Zeke Spruill saw his first action of the year as he went 8 strong IP and was aided by a pair of Chris Carter HR’s.
Game #3:
Valdosta 3-1.
More strong pitching from the Snappers as Teheran improves to 12-9. Kimbrel with save #31.
Game #4:
Valdosta 2-0.
Snappers pitching allows just one base knock as Hughes wins (10-14) and Kimbrel saves again.
Game #5:
Valdosta 2-1.
Mark Reynolds hit a walk off HR in the bottom of the 9th off of Vavaro to make a winner of Koji Uehara (8-2).
Game #6:
Columbus 5-0.
The Explorer bats wake up a little as JA Happ scattered 8 hits for the win.
Series Summary
Snappers get some home cookin’ and win 5 of 6 in Valdosta.

Series Summary
Tempe seemed to catch all the breaks winning 5 of 6 in a very tight series. Tempe let scrubs get usage in game six and Long Beach built a 6-0 lead. They eventually lost the lead when Tulo knocked a pinch hit three run homerun in the 8th. Tempe then brought in all the other starters and won it in the 10th. Lester finished with two no decisions.

Series Preview
Elyria still in the race in the AL East . VIR is 40 games out and in 2nd place in the West.
Game #1:

Nuno pitches well allowing 1 run in 8 innings on 4 hits for ELY. But Flande is stingy for VIR and keeps ELY off the board until A.Cabrera cracks a 2-run shot in the 7th. Thielbar come in for ELY to notch his first save.
Game #2:
ELY 11-5
M.Minor may be an 18 game loser, but he won this one. His offense generated 18 hits,…so that helped and there was only 1 extra base hit,…a double by L.Schafer. Bernadina was 3-4 with 4 RBI and Punta was 4-4 scoring 4 runs.
Game #3:
ELY 6-2
J.Zimmerman pitched a CG and K’d 11 to pick up his 14th win. O.Aecia was the offense as he blasted 2 homers to drive in 4 runs. Punto chipped in 2 RBI to account for the 6 runs.
Game #4:
VIR 4-1
M.Scherzer wins #15. R.Flaherty settled this one with a Baltimore Special in the 2nd inning and Scherzer coasted from there. Valbuena did smack his 20th homer of the year for ELY.
Game #5:
ELY 4-3
B.Bevan won his 1st game as ELY scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning without the benefit of an extra base hit. Homers by Markakis and A.Ramirez were just not enough for VIR as E.de la Rosa and D.Robertson shut VIR down.
Game #6:
ELY 10-4
Nuno picks up his 2nd win in the series. Arcia triples in a pair of runs and R.Rivera swats his 9th homer to pick up 2 RBI and ELY rides a 5 run 2nd and 4 run 4th to coast to the win.
