Tijuana  Bottle Rockets @ Virginia  Sluggers
Series Preview
TIJ is the team trying to figure out how many games over 100 they will win. VIR is the team trying to figure out just how to win. They still haven’t figured it out,…
Game #1:
TIJ 9-3
\Kluber (11-4) allowed 2 hits in 7 inns. and K’d 9. Odor had 4 of the 15 team hits and Choo drove in 3 runs. All 3 of the VIR runs came on a bottom of the 9th HR by Rizzo.
Game #2:
TIJ 7-1
Roark (11-2) continues the solid pitching going 8 innings allowing 3 hits. Choo drives in 2 more with a solo shot and a SF in his 2-2 day. H.Ramirez also chips in 2 RBI and a homer.
Game #3:
TIJ 17-1
And so it goes…Greinke (13-1)throws 8, allows 4 hits. Everyone on TIJ hits except Encarnacion and Zobrist,…and PHer Choo. Puig and Bautista leave the yard,…and collect 4 RBI each. Odor goes 4-6 with 3 RBI.
Game #4:
TIJ 7-1
Bailey (11-2) only goes 6 innings and gives up 2 hits. I guess TIJ needed to work it’s bullpen a little. 12 hits for the Rockets
including Bautista’s 2-run bomb.
Game #5:
TIJ 4-0
Kluber (12-4) improves on Gm.1 with a CG 1-hitter. Puig goes 3-4 with 2 runs and a RBI. TIJ only needed 8 hits to win this one.
Game #6:
TIJ 2-1
Worn out and using up most all of their hits in the earlier games, Rockets had to settle for a 1 run win. Roark went 8 and the Sluggers got all 3 of their hits off him and managed to get 1 run, a HR from Segura in the 1st. However, Bautista’s 16th homer had given TIJ 2 runs in the top of the 1st and those 2 runs were all Roark and O’Day needed.
Series Summary
There was a lot of good pitching and hitting in this series,…all of it from TIJ who simply out-classed VIR by sweeping them 6-0.  TIJ outscores VIR 46-7.

YSS 3 – MAN 1

A very well pitched game. Porcello faced 35 batters in his 9 innings. 4 relievers faced 22 more batters as MAN shut down the home team. Little used Hunter Strickland probably faced a batter or 2 too many at the end.
MAN 3 – YSS 1 in 15 innings.

Game #5:
Liriano ran out of gas in the 6th as Tempe took a 5-1 lead. Byrd hit a two run hr in the 7th to cut the lead. La Roche then took Holland deep in the 9th to tie the game at 5-5. Holland pitched a scoreless 10th and Gattis rewarded him with a walk off homer. Tempe 6-5
Game #6:
Clovis jumped out to a 5-0 lead and then barely managed to hold off a Tempe rally. Clovis 5-4
