Mat Latos was brilliant. A Kole Calhoun solo shot in the 1st inning was the only run of the game. YSS 1 – CCC 0

A Great finish to the series. Esmil Rogers probably faced 1 more batter than he should have. After 9 scoreless, he came out to start the 10th. He ended up allowing 1 (unearned) run, but the pen coughed up 3 more after his exit. CCC 4 – YSS 0 (10 innings) **Dan Uggla inj 5 days**

Locke vs. WaltersA 14 inning affair mercifully ends as both teams nearly empty their card players…err…bullpen. Eleven relievers make an appearance but the L hangs around Watson’s neck. Yes, Trout homers yet again, extending the HR streak to 4 games. I think it’s time to start throwing the breaking ball to him as his bat is clearly not afraid of the straight ball. MCM 4 RVT 3

Ortiz vs. Pettitte Extensive use of video allowed the Motor City bats to solve Pettitte as they score in the 1st. They would only muster 2 more runs this day as the Thorns battle to win in the 10th. Pierzynski blasts 2 homers and drive in 3 in a 4-5 day. MCM 3 RVT 4

Muscle flex their wares and take 4 out of 6 from the Thorns in their final game in Roseville. As the crowd filtered out, construction crews began taping off the stadium for demolition. The Roseville franchise will move to Three Rivers, Michigan next season and become known as the Triple Creek Patriots.

DET S.Kazmir vs SBL M.HarrisonDET pummels SBL M.Harrison for 8 runs in 1.2 IP with the big hit being Peralta’s Grand Slam in the 1st. Its a laugher as DET builds a 12-1 lead after 4 innings. SBL get some late runs off a itchy Alburquerque but it was never close. Ichiro is 4 for 6 w/2 runs, A.Jones is 2 for 4 w/3 runs and 3 rbi and a HR, Peralta ends up 2 for 4 w/5 rbi and a HR. SBL Lowrie’s hitting streak is stopped at 24 games. Trumbo hits a 2-run HR in the 5th to give him 100 rbi on the season.DET 14, SBL 6

Chris Archer wins his 13th in a pitcher’s duel that Virginia wins 1-0. Jean Segura’s home run is the only scoring in the game.

The Cannons homer three times, but Nick Markakis leaves the yard twice and Virginia wins 11-4. Khris Davis’s rookie season was ended

Ricky Nolasco struck out 10 in nine innings, but left with a ND as teh game went to extras tied 1-1. Wilin Rosario’s HR in the bottom of the tenth won it for Fremont 2-1.

Iron City lost two tough extra inning games, but avoided the sweep by picking up the last game of the series. Iwakuma pitched great in both games he started, but only picked up one win when the pen blew a three run lead. Tulo continued to make the case for MVP pushing his average to .336.
